- Abstract
- Currently Russia energetics needs to build a power system under the name «Smart Grid», which include FACTS devices as the primary means. Embodiment of the idea of a new generation of electric networks is necessarily preceded by modeling the behavior of implemented devices in specialized software systems. Each design scheme of such a complex is different from reality due to inaccuracies brought by both measuring instruments and methods of calculation. In this study the causes of the errors brought during the simulation of electrical networks have been considered and analyzed. Studies have shown that any mathematical model will have unrecoverable inaccuracy in the calculations. Authors pay attention of the engineers in design organizations to the sources of error brought into the calculations and methodology of the numerical determination of its final value.
