- Abstract
- Group decision-making (also known as collaborative decision-making) is a situation faced when individuals collectively make a choice from the alternatives before them. Information support for decision-making process plays an important role in the activities of modern enterprise. This support is presented in particular by DSS (Decision Support Systems), but only a few of DSS can support expert groups. And there is not at least one DSS that provides the consistency check of experts' opinions before these opinions are averaged. This paper proposes an approach to assessing the consistency of expert's opinions, using Kendall's coefficient of concordance. An appropriate algorithm is developed to add this functionality to the knowledge base of the computer-based information system EDSS (Expert Decision Support System), which was built under the author's leadership.
