- Abstract
- Using the methods of information technology, the welding technology is developed using an electrofusion reducer coupling of polyethylene pipes of different diameters for gas pipelines at climatic ambient temperatures below the standard. It is shown by calculations that at low air temperatures, it is possible to provide cooling of the heat-affected zone according to the law for welding to the conditions of permissible air temperatures by preheating with equalization of temperatures and uneven thermal insulation of the outer transition surface.
