- Abstract
- Mechanical fretting and harsh chemical resistances of electron beam modified surface were investigated in present work. STK 119 glass samples prepared by electron beam processing in comparison with standard technique were researched. Chemical-analytic methods according to GOST 13917-92 and mass loss technique were used. It was found, electron beam processed sample surfaces are characterized by uncloudable and aggressive conditions resistant glass. Mechanical fretting resistance of as-received sample surface is increased by 30 % during electron beam processing.
