- Abstract
- The analysis of the ecological situation and the effectiveness of nature preservation measures implemented in the Vologda region during the last 6 years is presented. It is determined that the ecological situation in the Vologda region can be evaluated as stable with the improvement tendency. The industrial production growth and the rise in gross output of the regional product was not accompanied by the adequate increase of anthropogenetic loading onto the nature surrounddings because 70-90 % of all hazardous waste polluting the environment were done within the limits of the adopted ecological standards.
