- Abstract
- The prospects for use in road construction ash and slag wastes generated by burning coal on the power plants are considered. The estimation of the existing problem of the accumulated ash and slag materials and the possibility of their use in the construction and repair of Rostov region roads is given. The possible directions are considered and economic efficiency of ash and slag wastes using as substitutes for traditional road-building materials is appreciated. The review of the normative documents regulating the ash and slag using in the road construction is executed. The examples of using the ash and slag wastes in the road construction abroad are given. It is shown that the introduction of the materials based on local thermal power plants ash and slag wastes in the practice of road construction allow solving a number of economic and ecological problems of the region.
