- Abstract
- The paper discusses the problem of suboptimal utilization of resources, which primarily affects the increase in costs of the enterprise, a working process and manufactured products quality. The Lean manufacturing system, which allows to minimize losses at every stage of the production process, thereby significantly improving the economic performance of the company, is discussed. The necessity of using the fundamental principles of Lean manufacturing, such as the focus on customers, cost reduction, improved product quality and continuous improvement processes, is shown. The most popular tools and techniques of Lean manufacturing are provided. Special attention is paid to the visual modeling tools. Relevance of the article is due to the universal distribution of Lean manufacturing system in all areas of modern enterprises. The methodology has found its application both in large and small industrial businesses. Material of the article is aimed at managers of industrial enterprises and service sector organizations. In addition, the material will be useful for production managers and quality managers.
