- Abstract
- Hazardous substances are formed and are detrimental to human health by chlorination of water. Thermodynamics methods were used to determine the probability of the formation of carcinogenic substances in the water. Evaluation of individual cancer risk was conducted. Exceeding the maximum allowable risk of a number of substances was observed. Appropriate risk threshold concentration values were calculated. From the perspective of risk assessment approach to setting permissible concentrations it was recommended.
