- Abstract
- We developed a mathematical model for determining surface mechanical stresses in metal plates on the basis of electrical microcontact theory and an approach in which the electrical contact is represented as a set of multiple, actively interacting electrical RC-chains. The arising currents circulating through the surfaces of the spots of microscopic contacts change when there is an elastic deformation, and also as a result of activation of the processes of surface fluidity. The developed model was used to calculate the surface stresses in the ЭИ 847 tensile tests.
