- Abstract
- The paper gives results on estimation of a heat sink's temperature change under thermal discharges from a small nuclear power station (SNPP) with 0.5-100 MW (th.) power for the Russian Arctic region's climate. The minimally required areas of mirror surface a heat sink have been determined under which the water heating in the hottest decade won't exceed 0.5 оС. This will provide absence of a negative impact on the reservoir's ecology. In fulfilling the temperature condition mentioned above, it was proposed to accept an exclusion from the Water Code and permit SNPP with power up to 10 MW (th.) to apply a straight-through arrangement of turbines' condensers cooling.
