- This article describes the environmental problems associated with offshore oil production, as well as decommissioning waste offshore oil platforms. Advantages and disadvantages of different ways of decommissioning waste oil platforms from the ecological point of view. Given environmental benefits rationale renovation offshore oil platforms in relation to other methods of withdrawal from service.
