- Abstract
- In this work the results of researches on the development of charge composition for obtaining an environmentally safe and acid-resistant ceramics based on low-plasticity clay of the Vladimir region. As functional additives, 5 % wt. are introduced into the composition of the charge. % boric acid, 5 % wt. lanthanum oxide and up to 5 % wt. of galvanic sludge. Boric acid is a source of acid-resistant and heat-resistant vitreous phase based on borosilicates and is smooth, and the compounds that make up the galvanic sludge decompose in the process of firing ceramics to form heavy metal oxides, which, along with lanthanum oxide further increase the acid resistance and heat resistance of the material. The work presents the results of the research of the performance properties of the resulting ceramics and evaluation of its environmental safety.
