- Abstract
- This paper presents a computational technology for modeling the flow around elongated bodies of rotation. The development uses a complex approach, combining the simulation of inviscid flow, the calculation of the friction coefficient on the body and near wake flow calculation. Numerical results of accuracy comparison for a number of solvers of the OpenFOAM package for inviscid flow past a cone are given with the variation of the cone angle and the flow velocity. The main elements of the developed technology are presented.
