- Abstract
- The penetration of liquid hydrocarbons into the earth's bowels as a result of accidents leads to contamination of soils and groundwater, and ultimately to a violation of the ecological balance. In this regard, the article analyzes the penetration of various petroleum products, in particular, diesel fuel, jet fuel and engine oil, in the soil and sand. The depth of penetration and the average rate of penetration of petroleum products in the soil samples under consideration are determined. The obtained results will allow to develop recommendations on measures for localization, elimination of the consequences of accidents associated with oil spill.
