- Abstract
- In this work, the results of the development of the composition of the charge on the basis of low-plastic clay with the addition of 15 wt. % of the waste of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride as a burning additive to increase porosity and reduce the density of ceramics, which allows to reduce the load on the Foundation during the construction of walls, as well as to reduce the thermal conductivity and as a result increase the energy efficiency of the material. The composition of the charge is also introduced boric acid, which acts as a smooth, reducing the temperature of liquid-phase sintering and forming a vitreous phase, which increases the strength characteristics, reduces water absorption and increases the frost resistance of products. However, the amount of the vitreous phase is negligible and the material remains porous, sufficient to obtain conditionally effective thermal performance products.
