- Abstract
- This paper presents the results of the development of the composition of the charge, in which the main component is a low-plastic clay of the Vladimir region, the use of which is limited due to low values of strength and crack resistance of the products obtained from it. As functional additives in the developed composition, tripolite of the Vladimir region is used, which contributes to the formation of a fine-porous structure of the material, boric acid acting as a melt, and cullet, which is a fluxing-strengthening additive. The combined use of cullet and boric acid allows to obtain the effect of glazing ceramic particles throughout the volume of the material and the effect of self-glazing on its surface while maintaining a fine-pore structure. Such a structure on the one hand provides a relatively low thermal conductivity of ceramics, and on the other hand allows to achieve sufficiently high values of strength and frost resistance.
