- Abstract
- This article presents the results of the development of ceramic facing material obtained on the basis of low-plastic clay with the addition of boric acid and broken of window glass for liquid-phase sintering and the effect of self-glazing of the surface with the additional introduction of polymer waste, in particular waste consumption of products made of non-plasticized PVC, as a burnout additive. Presents results of a research of the dependence of main characteristics of obtained ceramics from the amount of polymer waste in the charge with the introduction of boric acid and cullet, in quantities ensuring maximum strength and frost resistance. The amount of polymer waste is determined, which allows to obtain a material that meets the requirements for facing ceramic products and belongs to the conditionally efficient of thermal characteristics. The use of the resulting composition of the charge makes it possible to jointly dispose of polymer and glass waste, while expanding the raw material base and range for the production of facing ceramics.
