- Abstract
- The article discusses the issues of software and hardware for monitoring and forecasting environmental pollution, which includes the state of existing software applications, systems for calculating the consequences of various emergencies, as well as forecasting their development. It is noted that one of the most urgent problems of assessing the consequences and forecasting emergencies is the assessment of the consequences of contamination of territories by industrial potentially hazardous facilities, including former chemical weapons destruction facilities. A technique is proposed for automated assessment of the severity of environmental situations. allowing, taking into account the pollutants and their indicators, to determine the distribution area of the situation, assess the situation in the point system and determine the class of the environmental situation. The paper presents an algorithm for calculating the class of environmental situations and calculation methods, describes the procedure for testing the methodology and its results. This technique is different in that it allows you to take into account not only the composition of the elements that determine the class of the environmental situation, but also the excess coefficient of the MPC of the substance and its hazard class.
