- Abstract
- This article presents the research results on the development of the composition of the charge based on low-plastic clay with the addition of 5 wt. % of galvanic sludge, 5 wt. % boric acid and 5 wt. % zirconium oxide for heat-resistant, chemically resistant ceramics. The developed composition of the charge provides liquid-phase sintering to produce a glassy phase based on borosilicates and boroalumosilicates, in which zinc, chromium and calcium oxides formed from galvanic sludge and zirconium oxide are functional additives. The paper presents the research results of the dependence of acid resistance, alkali resistance, heat resistance and environmental safety of the developed ceramics on the content of galvanic sludge and zirconium oxide in the charge. The use of the developed composition expands the range of special facing and lining ceramic products, allows you to use low-demand in the ceramic industry low-plastic clay and dispose of environmentally hazardous galvanic sludge in the production of environmentally friendly products.
