- Abstract
- The article presents the results of research on the influence of natural minerals of flint and shungite on such water parameters as pH, total mineralization, electrical conductivity, cation content (NH4+, K+, Na+, Mg2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Ca2+) and anions (Cl−, SO42−, NO3−, F−, CO32−). It was found that the addition of crushed flint and shungite to the water significantly increases the hydrogen index of water in comparison with the settling process. At the same time, the total mineralization in the water decreases (which leads to a decrease in the electrical conductivity index). There was a significant decrease in the concentration of calcium ions (by 36.0 %) in shungite-infused water and by 20.5 % in flint-infused water. A significant increase in the concentration of K+ ions in water infused with silicon (46.3 %) was revealed. As for anions, the f-concentration decreased, both in the case of the mineral shungite and flint. It is recommended to use these natural minerals for cleaning tap water that has increased hardness and excessive content of fluoride ions.
