- Abstract
- Point-to-point non-destructive testing of the garden tool destruction section by scanning contact potentiometry was carried out. The fracture section is an arcuate surface 24 mm long and 1.5 mm wide, reinforced with a vertical stiffener 4 mm long and 2 mm wide. When constructing the potentiograms, twenty levels of fixation were selected for the arcuate surface of the fracture section and four levels of fixation actography, mechanical tool destruction for the vertical reinforcement rib. for the vertical reinforcement rib. On the arcuate surfaces of the fracture section, three symmetrically located stress concentrators of the same sign were found, and on the stiffening ribs - symmetric, but opposite in sign, stress concentrators. The presence of local regions in the fracture section, characterized by high values of the control signal, indicates internal residual stresses that persist for a long time after fracture on both parts of the fractured tool.
