- Abstract
- The article introduces a concept of 'environmental competitiveness of fuel power generating companies (FPGC)' into scientific discource. A method for assessing the FPGC ecological competitiveness has been developed, where, along with the known indicators, it is proposed to use the following metrics: the rate of accidents and incidents with environmental consequences, the coefficient of biodiversity care in the regions of a company's presence, the coefficient of environmental care, the coefficient of investment in environment protection, efficiency of environment protection strategies/policies, the effectiveness of the environmental risk management system. The developed method was tested on the example of the activities of FPGCs in Russia, as a result of which a rating of the environmental competitiveness of these companies was obtained. It is shown that as of 2020, the gap between the first and the last places in the rating is by 17.8 times.
