- Abstract
- We analyzed the information accumulated by the world science about the main energy processes in the climate system of the Earth caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. The identified empirical regularities are the basis for the proposed analytical solutions, which can be used for reliable prediction of global warming. There has been a significant increase of the positive feedback contribution into global warming. Each kilowatt-hour of energy produced heats the planet at an accelerated rate, ensuring the accumulation of 18 kWh of greenhouse heat energy in the climate system. The functions determining the rate of the Earth's accumulation of thermal energy of anthropogenic greenhouse gases, as well as the radiation equilibrium temperature of the atmosphere and the duration of reaching the radiation balance state by the climate system, were obtained and are proposed for use. For the first time the calculated functions of the global sea level rise from thermal expansion of water and melting of continental ice in the process of global warming were obtained. After achieving carbon neutrality in 2060, the global warming will continue until 2270. By that time, 953×1015 kWh of thermal energy will have been accumulated in the Earth's climate system, 316000 km3 of continental ice will have melted, the global sea level rise will be 1090 mm.
