- Abstract
- The article considers the ecological situation in the area of the Krasny Bor landfill, the ongoing negative impact on the environment and possible ways to prevent it. According to the results of the assessment of the level of pollution of soil and vegetation cover in the study area, as well as bottom sediments and waters of the Bolshaya Izhorka river, the landfill is classified as an object of the category 1 by negative impact on the environment. The environmental risks are identified and the prospects for their prevention are assessed based on comparison of the environmental and economic effects from possible scenarios of landfill reclamation - zero, standard and intensive. The choice of a technological scheme for processing accumulated waste within the intensive scenarios framework with the possibility of extracting valuable impurities from oil sludge is justified. A business model that reflects the relationships between the parties involved in the reclamation process and the structure of costs and revenues during the transition to the principles of a closed economy is proposed.
