- Abstract
- The influence of quantum computers and quantum algorithms on the development of information technologies in the context of the quantum revolution in computing and the international quantum-computer race is considered. An overview of the current state of development of quantum computers, quantum algorithms and quantum programming languages are provided. It is emphasized that the creation of quantum computer hardware is only the first half of the path to efficient quantum computing and quantum supremacy. The second half of the journey is related to the development of quantum algorithms. The reasons for the emergence of new computational models are outlined. Concerns regarding the computing power of future quantum computers and quantum accelerators are analyzed.
