- Abstract
- This article reviews methods for regenerating spent sodium chloride solution used to regenerate ion exchange filters. Methods to reduce effluent generated and reagents used are presented. Technologies for purification of spent solution from hardness salts allow not only to reduce the volume of discharged wastewater, but also to return sodium chloride to production. Methods to reduce the consumption of reagents used in the solution purification process are analysed.
