- Abstract
- The main design features and the principle of operation of a contact mass transfer, absorption apparatus for ammonia-sulfate desulphurization of flue and industrial gases are described. EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the specific productivity of flue gas desulfurization plants by increasing the intensity of mass transfer in the combined apparatus at the stages of absorption and oxidation, to provide the possibility of removing sulfur dioxide from the flue gases being cleaned with a minimum level of absorber breakthrough and aerosols in the form of ammonia and solid ammonium salts. Installing an additional contact device in the form of a packet-vortex nozzle will improve the heat and mass transfer characteristics of the absorption zone of the apparatus at a constant working volume compared to a hollow spray absorber.
