- Abstract
- Ecological problems of presence and formation of chromium compounds are discussed during melting of chromium-containing refractories in electric arc furnaces. It is shown necessity of creation of effective dust and gas cleaning system for organization of production of new corrosion-resistant refractories. production of new corrosion-resistant materials for lining high-temperature installations of borosilicate glass production E, mineral wool, basalt fiber. The scheme of the dust and gas purification system from chromium-containing gases during operation of the DSP-1.5 electric arc furnace, which includes cyclones CN-15, Venturi scrubber, confusor scrubber and two BVCO electrostatic precipitators, is presented. It is shown that industrial production of fused chromium-containing refractories can be provided with safe conditions at using the specified dust and gas purification system.
