- Abstract
- This article presents the results of studies on the possibility of obtaining a facing composite material based on dolomite screening dropout and waste products from non-plasticized polyvinyl chloride dissolved in methylene chloride. The material samples were obtained by mixing and pressing the raw material mixture in a cold state, followed by heat treatment to remove the solvent. The dependences of the main physical and mechanical characteristics of the material on the polymer : solvent ratio in the composition of the raw material mixture and the degree of filling of the material are established. The resulting material has sufficiently high strength characteristics and meets regulatory requirements for use in the production of face stones and bricks for cladding buildings and structures. The practical application of the raw material mixture will allow processing low-demand mineral waste and polymer consumer waste in large volumes with the possibility of expanding the range of building materials and products.
