- Abstract
- The article discusses the concept of a new approach to industrial wastewater treatment based on a modular format of the technological purification process, one of the modules of which should be a sorption unit. The adsorption activity of materials of various natures in relation to contaminants markers is excellent, under static conditions the adsorption capacity of ODM-2F in relation to iron ions is 1.9 times higher than when extracting manganese from aqueous solutions, and the capacity of Coconut coal is 10 times higher when extracting iron than when extracting manganese. It is shown that the value of the interaction energy between the absorbed substance in the bulk phase and the sorption material indicates specific physical adsorption, in which the interaction energy of the adsorbate and adsorbent is determined by weak Van der Waals forces and non-specific dispersion interaction for all studied systems.
