- Abstract
- The article presents a software implementation of a control system for 18 electromagnetic actuators of a tactile Braille display using three 74HC595 shift registers and a hardware SPI interface of an Arduino Uno microcontroller. We have developed: an algorithm for serial data transmission, a library of Braille characters in 6-bit format, and methods for optimizing the update rate. The time characteristics of the system and code examples for practical implementation are given.
