- Abstract
- The requirements for emission indicators - specific average weighted emissions of harmful substances - nitrogen and carbon oxides, hydrocarbons and solid particles in the exhaust gases of diesel-electric locomotives into the air - are analyzed. A mechanism for stimulating the reduction of these indicators when designing diesel-electric locomotives has been developed. This mechanism includes the following operations: standardization of the specified indicators; determination of their environmental friendliness scores; reduction of these scores to determine the environmental friendliness score of a diesel-electric locomotive; incentives for project executors for a high environmental friendliness score of a diesel-electric locomotive.
