- Abstract
- Some of data processing capabilities provided by blockchain technologies are in demand in Internet of Things systems, which are an example of systems based on the use of various types of devices with low computing resources. In the general case, the use of blockchains requires significant computing resources; therefore, the direction of creating lightweight blockchains adapted for the use in Internet of Things and similar systems is under active development at the moment. This article provides a brief overview of approaches to create lightweight blockchains, including based on minimizing the resource intensity of internal cryptographic algorithms.
