- Abstract
- With the development of electronic devices, new thermal management systems are needed. Two-phase heat transfer systems (heat pipes and vapor chambers) are promising and widely used. Their performance strongly depends on the capillary structure inside. Classic methods like powder sintering lack precise control and repeatability. Additive manufacturing allows control over the capillary channels properties, shape, and size. There are few Russian publications on this topic, while American and Chinese articles show that printing such structures is possible. The authors goal is to research, fabricate, and integrate these capillary structures into electronic device frames.
