- Abstract
- The study addresses the significant differentiation of regions within the Volga Federal District (VFD) in terms of housing amenities, which affects the quality of the living environment and regional ecological conditions. The aim is a comparative geoecological analysis of housing infrastructure provision - water supply, sewerage, and heating - across 14 constituent entities of the VFD for the period 2019-2024. Using Rosstat data and State Reports of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, with descriptive statistics, time series analysis, and graphical visualization, regional disparities were assessed. The range of indicators reached 22.4 percentage points for water supply and 33.3 percentage points for sewerage; the Republic of Tatarstan and Samara Oblast are leaders, while the Chuvash Republic and Kirov Oblast lag behind. The maximum increase in the integrated amenity index was recorded in Ulyanovsk Oblast (+20.2 p.p.) and the Republic of Mordovia (+16.3 p.p.). The results can support regional programs for communal infrastructure modernization and geoecological assessment of VFD territories.
