- Abstract
- A method for remote user authentication in distributed automated systems based on biometric user characteristics is presented. A protocol for mutual authentication and cryptographic session key establishment is described. The protocol uses fuzzy extractors for biometric data processing and one-time message authentication codes for authentication. Application of the method described allows increasing security of information being processed in the system.
