- Abstract
 - A mathematical model for multi-element IR FRA based on the system 'photodiode-direct injection readout circuits' is reported. With the model, an analysis of IR FRA can be performed with current-voltage characteristics of the photodiodes set either in analytical form or as an approximation of experimental current-voltage curves. The model enables identification of factors that limit the performance characteristics of multi-element IR FPA, and IR thermography systems designed around such IR FPA, versus electrical and design parameters of the photodiodes, readout circuits, and background environment.
