- Abstract
- The paper considers main biological metaphors and approaches applicable for protection of computer systems and networks, including their application in fault-tolerant computer networks, software protection, usage of neural networks, evolutionary methods, hybrid intelligent tools, an approach "nervous network system", and an approach based on a living organism cells. The paper provides architectures of computer network security systems which apply the biological metaphor. The methods for protection of computer systems and network based on the metaphor of immune systems and immunocomputing are analyzed.
