- Abstract
- The possibility of a time-of-flight mass-spectrometer with dynamic fields - a radio frequency mass reflectron is considered. Spatio-temporal focusing the ion energy, coordinates and angles at the entry in linear high-frequency electric fields significantly expands the phase space volume and increases the limits of the space charge of ions to be analyzed. Achievable resolution of such mass analyzers at 100 % transmission of ions is a few tens of thousands.
