- Abstract
- The urgent task of protecting information in computer networks is research of advanced mechanisms intended to detect and prevent network scanning. A promising approach to detection and protection from scans consists in using a complex of different protection mechanisms. The theoretical and practical significance of the approach suggested is in developing new and improving existing detection mechanisms, investigation of different schemes of cooperation of particular mechanisms, advancing the implemented software tool to develop an environment for simulation of protection mechanisms against scanning.
