- Abstract
- Using energy balance of a cylindrical Z-pinch in gas it was deduced differential equation for the dimensionless radius with due regard for magnetic field energy, electrodynamics forces work function, Joule and shock wave heating of plasma. It was showed that the solution of obtaining equation is in reasonably agreement with experimental data. Using this solution and experimental data it is determined an optimum performance of Z-pinch in argon as impulse radiation source.
