- Abstract
- Understanding the threat of environmental pollution by persistent organic pollutants (POPs) had led the world community to the adoption of the Stockholm Convention on POPs, which entered in force on 17 May 2004. One of the commitments of Parties to the Convention - the implementation of measures to eliminate the formation of dioxins in the emissions of industrial enterprises and the rehabilitation of contaminated territories and populations. In the city of Ufa for many years the main source of environmental pollution by dioxins was the largest association of organochlorine synthesis of "Ufahimprom". In 2004, this production was halted for a long time. Found that in the absence of industrial production of these loads has been continuing to adversely affect all components of natural ecosystems.
