- Abstract
- The paper considers the introduction of top-down design methodology for complex industrial products, the conceptual description of automation for several stages of such design in State Research and Production Space-Rocket Center "TsSKB-Progress". This introduction was made as an example of pile snap & accessories design (s.c. "СТО") for prospective rocket and space technology ("Sojuz-1" launch vehicle and "Volga" booster) produced in integrated environment CAD/CAE Pro/ENGINEER + "Vertikal" under the control of Windchill PDMLink system. The paper discusses the features and benefits of top-down design methodology and unique program-methodical complex for pile snap & accessories design based on this methodology.
