- Abstract
- Currently, in accordance with the world tendencies, development of the processes of globalization and growing competition of various territories of the Russian Federation has an urgent task of the study theoretical and methodological approaches to the consideration of the content and structure of the economic potential of the region, and identify the main components of this structure. Based on this article demonstrates the dependence of the socio-economic development of the region on its economic potential, based on resource and effective approaches the essence of the economic potential of the region in the framework of structural analysis. Systematization of the approaches to the definition of the structure of the economic potential may be useful in the activities of regional authorities and relevant organizations, to develop a regional structural policy and priority directions of development of regions.
