- Abstract
- Complex functional system design assumes joint development among different design departments and suppliers. In most cases it goes with lack or low quality of information flow between involved design teams, which leads to introduction of design errors which can be identified only on late integration stages of a project. Model Based Design is a methodology for reducing of number of design errors by extensive usage of system model during whole design process for early system verification and validation, requirements exchange via executable specifications (system models) between all involved parties and reducing testing effort by rapid prototyping and HIL testing and Production Code Generation.
