- Abstract
- This article describes the experience of practical application of the method of computerized X-ray tomography on the example of non-destructive testing of a three-stringer wing panel. The results of experimental researches of the structure are described and the assessment of the porosity of the structure in characteristic sections is carried out. The distributions of the porosity of the structure material over the sections under consideration are obtained and an analysis is carried out to investigate the possibility of identifying the types of defects (pores, delamination) that arise both at the manufacturing stage and caused by long-term operation. Based on the results of the researches, the effectiveness of the application of the computed X-ray tomography method for the control of ribbed composite structures was confirmed.
