- PDF is a widespread format of data storage, at which very big spectrum of possibilities. It is the basic working format for electronic libraries. In a PDF-file raster images are stored in the compressed kind because in not compressed kind they occupy very much volumes. In article possibilities of formats JPEG, JPEG 2000 and compression with use of MRC technology are analyzed. Work of programs-compressors Adobe Acrobat, CVista PDF Compressor, Lura Document PDF Compressor is analyzed. The comparative estimation of possibilities of these programs is executed.
