- Abstract
- A critical analysis of literature data about the thermal properties of normal alkanes С5-С13 on the "liquid-gas" equilibrium line has been executed. Based on selected experimental and calculated data an empirical equations describing the saturated vapor pressure, density of coexisting liquid and gas phases in the temperature range from triple point to critical point has been developed. The average relative deviations are as follows: 0.06-0.19 % in saturated vapor pressures, 0.05-0.10 % in saturated liquid density; 0.20-0.30 % in saturated vapor density. For a number of substances the presented equations are obtained for the first time in this temperature range.
