- Abstract
- The aim of the article is to analyze several tendencies and features of international female highly skilled migration. Some of the challenges and problems faced by highly skilled women are discussed. Furthermore, the article deals with the key question of whether tertiary educated and highly qualified female migrants confront gender inequality nowadays despite acquired levels of education and professionalism. It is also crucial to understand whether the inequality is stimulated by the combination of the statuses "woman" and "migrant". Together with this, the author endeavors to study if this combination leads to underrepresentation of women in leading and well-paid positions. Necessity of "gender sensitive" migration policies implementation is then examined.
