- Abstract
- The object of the study is aspiration dust from ferrochrome, which consists of conglomerates of various shapes, most of the sizes of which range from 0.2 to 22 microns. The studied aspiration dust has an increased content of chromium oxides (Cr2O3) - 21.32 %, and magnesium (MgO) - 31.42 %, which will contribute to an increase in the physico-mechanical properties of the porous filler. The presented work shows the achievements of research on the possibility of obtaining heat-insulating porous materials based on a liquid-glass composition used as a binder, and large-tonnage aspiration dust from ferrochrome used as a filler. A porous aggregate with high physical and mechanical properties was obtained. RF Patent № 2470885 was obtained for the method of obtaining a porous filler presented in this article.
